He started playing as a child by learning Tombak from Mr. Gholamreza Meshaikhi and continued to learn Tar from Mr. Keyvan Saket, Arshad Tahmasebi, and Dariush Talaei respectively.

In 1377, he entered the university and there, he started the supplementary course of Iranian music under the supervision Professor Majid Kiyani. Then, in the years 2005 to 2010, he used the direct testimony of Professor Mohammad Reza Lotfi.

From 1977 to 1979, Salek was a member of the Iranian music group directed by Pejman Taheri, and the result was the recording of three works for master Mohammad Reza Shajarian, which have not been published.
